Welcome to our Aging Practice Website

I decided it might be helpful to create a website for our class.  We will still have the majority of the content for the class located in iCollege, and, as usual, your grades will be located there.  But we are also writing blog posts and commenting on each other’s writing.  That’s why I wanted to add just a bit more to this site than just our blog.  You will find three important resources here.

First, this is where you sign up for the blog itself, by using the register button/blurb on the sidebar.  This is also where you will find the link to write you new blog post – whatever one is due at whichever time.  

Second, there is a digital syllabus for your use.  I have placed information that is often the most important to your success in this course on that particular digital syllabus page.  The term digital syllabus sounds fancy and grandious, but it basically refers to a web page that outlines the major elements of the course, such as the schedule, assignments and grading criteria.  I also include detailed information about the three types of assignments you will be completing.  More to come on that.

Third, you will find our class blog.  There is a blog tab in the menu bar, as well as a page for each of the blog assignments you will write.  That means that the blogs will be organized by assignments.  The first page of the blog will give you information about how to complete your posts.

It’s my hope that this site will give you enough information that you can get started quickly in this class.  My goal is to give you a overview of our activities.  The specific assignments and other links will still be in iCollege.  As always – if you have any questions you can reach out to me either by email (mp*******@*su.edu) or phone 404-788-8232.  Welcome and I look forward to the wonderful discussions we will have about aging.
